What happens when a construction expert and an artist--one with a special talent for stained glass and glass mosaic--build their dream house?

Welcome to our home, nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Moutains.

Bienvenida Casa Loma. The craftsman and the artist moved forward on this project with an eye to the finished result and not the bottom line on the accounting talley. Tiny details are everywhere. For example, these mosaics are on the back of the garage, only visible to those who take the time to walk the paths that meander through the property.

Bird mosaics are everywhere! Bluebird in flight.

But don't think that all the beautiful details are hidden! As you drive up to the house, the first thing you'll notice are the mosacis on the garage.

More mosaics cover the entry courtyard walls. The courtyard garden is a work of art itself with a tiny creeping thyme-covered dry creekbed, rosebushes, creeping plox, iris and many other perennials.

Beauty and the beast, complete with seashells and crystals.

Stained glass panels set in a copper arch above the front doors are backlit with electic lights and natural sunlight.

The front doors feature a life-size peacock with the mesa (visit the Setting page to see the mesa in a photograph) as a backdrop. If you haven't looked at the House page on this web site yet, you'll want to visit that next. Casa Loma's front doors are spectacular! There are additional stained glass panels in other portions of the house too. For example, this adorned window is located in the master bath, above the spa tub.

Arrange your private showing to explore the magic of Casa Loma.

A door in the masterbath continues the theme set forth in this window. A detail from the stained glass door in the master bath.
